Olmert: I was Denied Presumption of Innocence

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said in his news conference that he has been denied the right to the presumption of innocence, in the investigations against him. The investigations, he said, are being carried out in an improper way, which deprives him of his rights as a citizen.

"As Prime Minister I am not above the law," he said, "but I am not beneath it either."
