Teva Hits New High with $539 Million Quarterly Profit

Israel's Teva Pharmaceuticals, the world's largest manufacturer of generic drugs, announced Tuesday that it set a new record, with $539 million in profits for the second quarter of 2008.

Teva also announced an increase in two of its largest products, the drugs Copaxone and Azilect, which increased in sales by 29% and 50%, respectively.
