A senior Likud MK voiced criticism Sunday of the planned announcement that Maj.-Gen. (res.) Uzi Dayan was joining the party. It is odd that "a person who was unable to make it into the Knesset and who courted the Labor party suddenly joins Likud when it gets stronger."
The source told Omedia that he knows with certainty that Dayan had contacts with Labor, and believes he may have spoken with Meretz and Kadima as well.
Dayan, who supported the Disengagement, recently expressed hawkish views regarding Gaza and the Golan Heights.
