Hundreds of supporters of kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit gathered Tuesday in Tel-Aviv's Rabin Square to mark the day that he would have finished his army service.

After turning in their uniforms, members of Shalit's unit marched together for the last time to Defense Minister Ehud Barak's office at military headquarters in Tel-Aviv. There they met with the minister to convey to him the urgency in releasing their captive friend.

Later they met with Shalit's parents, Noam and Aviva, and spoke at the Tuesday rally.
