Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni stated in a speech at a conference on democracy Monday that corrupt politicians "must pay with their office just as a criminal "pays with his freedom." She also called on the public to support honest candidates.
The Foreign Minister is considered to have one of the cleanest records of leading politicians, and she is running for the leadership of the Kadima party. The winner probably will try to form a new coalition government.
