Army Shuts Down Shechem TV Station for Terror Links
(IsraelNN.com) The IDF has shut down the Afaq television station in Shechem for one year after declaring it to be a "terrorist organization media." Soldiers previously raided the television station in December and forced it off the air until it resumed broadcasting in March.
Station director Issa Abu el Izz told the media lobby group Reporters without Borders, "We are an independent media and, regardless of what the Israeli military says, we have never given our allegiance to any political movement, whether Hamas or any other."
