Guests at Israeli weddings may soon see a new development; instead of the traditional safe and stack of envelopes for guests' checks, a credit card reader may soon serve the same purpose.  "It's new in Israel and the world... It's very convenient... guests can give a gift even if they forget their checkbooks," according to a Tel Aviv banquet hall staff member interviewed by Channel 10 News.

But, of course, nothing in life is free. The report said couples pay NIS 500 to rent the credit card reader for their occasion and the recorded funds from visitor's gifts are transferred into their bank account the next day.
