Recent developments have caused Egypt to reinforce its Rafiah Crossing station with 400 police in anticipation of riots and to prevent any future “border violations”, according to Egyptian security officials. Egyptian police have previously repulsed attempts by Gazans to force the crossing with riot control methods, including water-cannon.
