Syria has accused Israel of mistreating Druze residents of the Golan Heights, according to a report Saturday by Voice of Israel government radio.

In a complaint to a United Nations committee on human rights, Syria charged Israel with dumping radioactive waste in the Golan and confiscating the identity cards of Druze students who abandon the region to study in Damascus.
