The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) apologized to its viewers on Friday for its editorial decision to air footage of an off-duty IDF soldier shooting and killing an Arab, stopping him after he had killed three Israelis and wounded dozens of others in Jerusalem on Wednesday.

Hussam Dwayyat, a resident of eastern Jerusalem, drove a bulldozer through rush-hour traffic in central Jerusalem, smashing into cars and a bus. The BBC did not air the footage of the soldier and a SWAT officer leaping on to the moving vehicle to kill the murderer on its 6:00 pm newscast, but did air the footage at 10 pm, earning itself more than 100 complaints.
