Terror victims' organization Almagor will petition the High Court in the name of the brother and sister of Eliyahu Shachar, the policeman who was murdered by Samir Kuntar, against the government decision to release Kuntar in a deal with Hizbullah.
The petitioners will claim that the government was guilty of unfair discrimination by not inviting them to voice their opinions on the proposed deal while Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met with the families of abducted soldiers Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev "many times."
Almagor will also claim that the decision-making process was hasty and subject to outside pressures. The decision to release Kuntar was contrary to previous government commitments, the group stated.
