(IsraelNN.com) The first report by the British Broadcasting Corp. (BBC) of Wednesday's terrorist attack in Jerusalem was under the headline "Israel bulldozer driver shot dead," according to the HonestReporting.com media watchdog organization. The British news agency has long been regarded as anti-Israel, and the Israeli government last year ordered officials to distance themselves from its reporters.

Honest Reporting said that the BBC wrote the headline although its own correspondent witnessed much of the attack from his office window, located opposite the scene of the attack. "The BBC can have no excuse for not having the basic facts of the story in front of them from the very beginning," Honest Reporting told its subscribers.

The BBC later changed the headline to read, "Bulldozer rampage hits Jerusalem," omitting in the title that an eastern Jerusalem Arab was driving the bulldozer and leaving the reader to look at the text to discover that three Israelis had been murdered.
