Shmuel Levy, former manager of Ehud Barak's 1999 campaign for Prime Minister, has decided to go to the police and spill the beans on what he says were alleged donations that Barak received. Police previously have investigated Barak, now Defense Minister and chairman of the Labor party, but the case was closed because of lack of enough evidence to indict him.

Barak allegedly established at least 23 fictitious non-profit organizations to funnel illegal campaign contributions. However, police are suspicious of Levy's motives. He remained silent during the initial police probe but now has decided to re-open the case following a claim that Labor owes him millions of dollars.
