Transport Ministry workers will strike this morning at every post “number one” in the branches of the Transport Ministry across Israel. This will prevent registration of technical changes to vehicles. The workers are striking due to Ministry plans to privatize some of the its operations, including those at post “number one”.
The Transport Ministry responded that the purpose of the planned changes is to prevent the current state in which drivers must wait hours in order to be served.
