The Palestinian Authority is hoping to raise $187 million in donations from international sources at the upcoming security conference slated to be held next week in Berlin, Germany.

The funds are needed to improve the PA police force and courts system, according to the head of the European Union police mission to the PA, Colin Smith of Britain. Most of the funds, he said, would likely come from monies already pledged at last year's donors' conference in Paris, where Quartet Middle East envoy raised a record $7.4 billion in economic development funds for the PA.
