Bar Ilan University is planning to provide thousands of Jewish and Hebrew texts online for free. The project is backed by President Shimon Peres, who plans to raise money to support the initiative.

Professors from Bar Ilan and other schools will work together in the upcoming months to decide which works to include in the project. Organizers said they hope to complete the project within a year.
