Swastikas have been discovered on elevator doors on the first floor of a Brooklyn apartment and on the walls of a high school in Oregon. State police are investigating the incident at the school, which they think may have begun as a prank but escalated into a hate crime.

In Berlin, German police said they charged a 30-year-old man for displaying Nazi symbols after he was seen with a three-inch swastika tattoo on his lower arm. German law prohibits displaying Nazi symbols. The man was walking in a train station when he was discovered wearing a T-shirt and exposing the tattoo. Police covered it with tape and arrested him.
