Israel's Unemployment Rate at 24-Year Low

(IsraelNN.com) The unemployment rate in Israel has fallen to a 24-year low at 6.3 percent, the lowest unemployment rate since 1984, when unemployment was at 5.9 percent, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.

The unemployment rate for men has also reached a record low at 5.9 percent, the lowest level in 30 years.  The current unemployment rate for women is 6.7 percent.

Tel Aviv is currently enjoying the lowest unemployment rate of Israel's largest cities, at 4.8 percent.  Unemployed in Haifa comprise 6.4 percent, Jerusalem 7.5 percent and the Galilee 8.3 percent.
