Dedication of Torah Scroll at Kabbalist's Synagogue

Eight hundred people are expected to participate in the dedication of a new Torah scroll for the synagogue of Kabbalist Elder Rabbi Eliyahu Leon Levi on Sunday evening, June 1 in Bnei Brak. Participating in the Jerusalem Day event will be both Chief Rabbis of the State of Israel Rabbi Eliyahu Bakshi Doron and Rabbi Yona Metzger, as well as Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv Yisrael Meir Lau.

Political dignitaries attending will include Minister of Religious Affairs Rabbi Yitzhak Cohen (Shas party), Knesset Member Effie Eitam (National Union/National Religious party), and others.

Rabbi Leon was born in Marashe, Turkey and later moved to Tel Aviv. He mastered the Kabbalah studying with his father and grandfather.
