(IsraelNN.com) Moti Mor, an Israeli tourist on holiday in Turkey, was arrested Monday by Turkish authorities while attempting to board a return flight to Israel with a handgun.

Mor claims that he has an Israeli license for the gun, and that he simply forgot the gun in his luggage when he left for his vacation. Foreign Ministry officials have confirmed the details and are currently working with Turkish officals to secure his release. It remains unclear how the firearm escaped detection on its way from Israel to Turkey.
