US President George W. Bush told Israeli lawmakers Thursday afternoon in his speech to the Knesset that the American-Israeli alliance is "unbreakable."

Bush characterized the US as Israel's "closest ally and best friend in the world," and characterized Israel in America's eyes as a "pioneering spirit", saying Israelis are "a free people refusing to let any obstacle stand in the way of their destiny."
