Army soldiers Wednesday night arrested 19 wanted terrorists, contradicting charges by several officers in Judea and Samaria that counterterrorist operations would cease while American President George W. Bush is in the country. They said that orders had been given not to conduct any activities against terrorists unless they were for defensive purposes.
Tuesday night's arrests took place in the area of Shechem, Ramallah, Bethlehem and Hevron. Elsewhere in Judea and Samaria, Arab rock-throwing terrorists caused damage to one Jewish vehicle north of Ariel in Samaria. No one was injured in the attack.
