Attorney General Menachem Mazuz asserted Wednesday that the investigation against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is ongoing and that at this point, it is not possible to ascertain that there will be sufficient evidence for filing charges. If charges are filed, it is too early to know what Olmert will be accused of, he added.
The assessment was given in Mazuz's reply to Attorney Yitzchak Bam, who represents the Legal Forum for the Land of Israel. The forum demanded that Mazuz suspend Olmert from his position as Prime Minister.
