Imprisoned terrorist Marwan Barghouti has called for "unity" between Palestinian Authority officials and terrorist groups. Barghouti, who is serving five life sentences for murder, called on PA officials not to compromise with Israel, and to insist that Israel meet all of their demands.
PA Arabs will not accept anything less than all territories lost by Jordan and Egypt in 1967, including much of Jerusalem, the expulsion of all Israeli citizens from those areas, the release of all terrorist prisoners from Israeli jails, and the influx to Israel of millions of foreign Arabs who claim they are descendants of Arabs who fled during the War of Independence, Barghouti said. Several Israeli politicians have recently expressed support for Barghouti’s release, saying he would be a "strong leader" capable of unifying PA Arabs.
