(IsraelNN.com) Fighting continued in Lebanon on Sunday, with Hizbullah terrorists and anti-Syrian forces clashing in the mountains surrounding Beirut. Several people were killed in the fighting.

Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa said the league would send a delegation to Lebanon in an attempt to resolve the conflict. Arab League foreign ministers have issued a statement rejecting the use of violence to achieve political goals. The statement was widely seen as critical of Hizbullah.

In a possible sign of concern from the United States, the USS Cole, an American warship, began making its way to the Mediterranean Sea on Sunday, according to AFP. The ship was stationed off the coast of Lebanon in February in what US officials called “a show of support for regional stability,” but left for the Gulf region in March.
