Jewish National Fund (JNF) World Chairman Effie Stenzler spoke on Sunday at a conference in the Israel Museum. The conference was attended by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and JNF representatives from around the world.
Stenzler said the JNF was embarking on a new project that would involve planting 15 million trees in Israel—one for each Jew alive. “This campaign has a message that’s even more important than the ecological message,” he said.
Stenzler spoke to Olmert, telling him, “You won’t find a more loyal partner than the JNF... The lands the JNF redeemed became the borders of the state of Israel. After 60 years of independence, the missions continue.”
