Hizbullah Taking Over Beirut

(IsraelNN.com) The Hizbullah terror militia took control of most or all of the Muslim neighborhoods in Beirut and is reportedly surrounding the home of parliamentary majority leader Saad El-Hariri. The Al-Arabiya TV network reported that the Shiite militia is also besieging the government compound in central Beirut.

The sound of gunfire can be heard throughout Beirut and 11 people have been reported killed so far in fighting. Beirut's sea port has shut down and the roads to Beirut Airport have been blocked for two days.

Saad Hariri's media network has also been shut down by Hizbullah. The signal from Hariri's TV station, Al Mustakbal, went dark suddenly and the offices of the newspaper by the same name have been burnt down. Radio A-Sharq, which also belongs to Hariri's group, has gone off the air.
