Nationalists Arrive at Sa-Nur and Homesh (IsraelNN.com) More than 100 nationalists have arrived at the site of the destroyed communities of Sa-Nur and Homesh in northern Samaria and have set up tents in the area. Security officials were not aware of the move to Sa-Nur and had expected the focus of activities to be at Homesh. Thousands of supporters of Jewish development in Judea and Samaria on Yom HaAtzmaut (Independence Day) reached Homesh, where activists have staged a year-long campaign to remain a presence despite attempts by the government to disperse them. Thousands also arrived on the holiday at Migron, near Beit El and Ofra, which is slated to be destroyed by the government in August under a court order. Peace Now won the injunction after appealing to courts, claiming it was established after Israel promised the United States it would not allow new communities. Migron residents have showed documents showing that it was established several months before the cut-off date. ![]() © A7 Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
