Hariri Calls to End ‘Civil War’

(IsraelNN.com) Saad el-Hariri, the head of the anti-Syrian faction in the Lebanese parliament, called Thursday for Hizbullah head Hassan Nasrallah to end his siege on Beirut, where Hizbullah supporters blocked several major roads on Thursday and clashed with Sunni Muslims and Lebanese forces.  “What’s happening in the streets of Beirut is not just ‘temporary insanity,’ but rather, a civil war,” Hariri told reporters.

Hariri called on Nasrallah to end the siege on Beirut, stop the violence, and agree to appoint army commander Michel Suleiman as president.  "Only if he meets these conditions can Nasrallah prove that he is interested in the good of Lebanon,” Hariri said.
