United States security sources quoted in Newsweek magazine on Wednesday said that former US army engineer Ben-Ami Kadish, who has been accused of passing classified information to Israel in the 1980s, is not suspected of crimes similar to those that Jonathon Pollard was convicted of.  Pollard had a very high level of security clearance, they said, while Kadish only had clearance for material classified as “secret.”

Ron Olive, a US official who investigated Pollard, said former Israel Aircraft Yosef Yagur was the Israeli agent who worked with both Pollard and Kadish.  Yagur allegedly spoke to Kadish recently, saying, “Don’t say anything.  Let them say what they want... You don’t remember anything.”
