American Passenger Removed for Praying Before Takeoff (IsraelNN.com) A Jewish traveler on a United Airlines plane was removed from the aircraft for refusing to stop praying before takeoff at New York City's JFK airport. He ignored flight attendants' attempts to make him sit down because he was in the middle of a prayer which does not allow for interruptions, CBS reported. Two friends, who were seated, explained the situation to the flight attendants and said he would be finished praying in another two minutes. When he finished his prayers, he apologized that he was not trying to be rude, but the flight crew ordered a guard to remove him from the plane, which was bound for San Francisco. United Airlines explained that the man was delaying takeoff, and added that he was put on another flight. ![]() © A7 Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
