(IsraelNN.com) Likud head Binyamin Netanyahu spoke at a Likud meeting in honor of Passover on Sunday night and said he would like to see the state improve the level of education and support the truly needy.  “I support helping the truly needy... I oppose helping the fakers and those who could work but prefer to live at your expense,” Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu slammed left-wing parties that criticize Likud’s social agenda.  Likud’s policies created the surplus that has allowed Israel to give more to the needy, he said.  In addition, he said, “I ask those that call themselves ‘social’: why did you not increase the pension for the elderly?”  The pension should be raised by hundreds of shekels a month, he said.
