The victim of a terrorist shooting near Gaza on Friday morning has been identified as Mati Gil, who works as a bureau chief for Public Security Minister Avi Dichter.  Gil was moderately wounded and has been taken to a nearby hospital.

Dichter was present during the attack as well, as were a number of foreign agriculturalists who came to show support for local kibbutz workers.  No other casualties were reported in the attack.
