U.S. Journal Names Israeli Firm as Most Ethical (IsraelNN.com) The Israeli-based Elbit System company has been named by a trade journal as the most ethical company that deals with the United States. The ranking by the Ethisphere journal, which reports on international business practices and government contractors, gives Israel a rare favorable report against the image of a government led by corrupt politicians. It was named the "best government contractor" for its ethics and compliance with standards. "Ethics programs for foreign contractors must be examined in context as...they [often] are not subjected to the same legal and regulatory pressures as domestic U.S.-based contractors are exposed." An analyst said it was "particularly impressive" for a foreign company to reach a high rating, which takes into account new Federal Acquisition Regulation rules. Elbit Systems' Executive Vice President David Block Temin commented, "We were pleased to have our ethics practices so highly ranked by the Ethisphere Institute's Government Contractor Ethics Program review." Elbit is an international defense electronics company engaged in a wide range of defense-related programs throughout the world. ![]() Sign up to receive the Daily Israel Report by email (Free) © IsraelNN Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
