Arab Leaders Stearing Clear of Damascus Summit

The leaders of at least twelve Arab countries will be boycotting an Arab summit set to take place in Damascus, Syria, according to Haaretz,

Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia will be sending lower-level envoys, though Damascus organizers say that 14 Arab leaders will be in attendance.

The report says that the reason many leaders will not attend is due to the lack of progress on the Lebanon issue. Without the Arab leaders present, major decisions will not be possible.
