Tel Aviv is celebrating Purim under the slogan "Ben Yehuda has gone mad," a reference to a major Tel Aviv street which is named after Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, who is credited as being the reviver of the Hebrew language in recent times. A Purim carnival including circus attractions began on Ben Yehuda street in the morning hours.

In Haifa, the Festi-Purim which began in the morning will continue until 4 P.M. on Yefe Nof Street and the adjacent Louis Promenade. It includes a Virtual Reality entertainment area, a Gymboree, public drum sessions, a marketplace, a circus area,  musicians and dancers from the Tinobit School for Salsa. The main Purim event for families and children will also include decorated trucks

In Beersheva, 1,000 children from youth movements marched down the city streets in the morning. Young musical bands performed in a costume parade which began in the municipal stadium and ended at the Big compound. Festive events are also taking place in Kiryat Shemona, Tzfat (Safed), Netanya, Rosh HaAyin, Ramat HaSharon and many other locations.
