Gaydamak Donates Bomb Shelters to Sderot

Russian-Israeli billionaire Arcadi Gaydamak brought five portable bomb shelters to the city of Sderot on Tuesday, and said he would consider bringing more if it became necessary.  The new shelters will be put in schools, supermarkets, and other public areas.

Gaydamak explained that the new shelters, unlike those currently in place in the town, provide protection from Katyusha rockets and Grad missiles, and not only from the smaller “Kassam” rockets generally favored by Gaza terrorists.  Residents of Sderot expressed gratitude for the gift.  Gaydamak has made previous gestures to Sderot as well, including sponsoring short vacations for local families and children to allow them a brief respite from the daily rocket attacks on their city.
