Military sources disclosed that the counter-terrorist operation in Bethlehem Wednesday afternoon was carried out by the Border Police's Special Operations Unit, which is known by the Hebrew acronym Yamam.
The gunmen were involved in planning terror attacks in Israel in the years 2001 to 2004.
None of the Yamam policemen was hurt.
