One terrorist died Wednesday after an arms smuggling tunnel collapsed near the Gaza-Egyptian border, according to the Gulf News web site. One other terrorist was injured and four more escaped. The terrorist, Mohamed El Bashiti, and the other five men had almost completed extending the 600-meter long tunnel from Gaza into Egypt. The ceiling of the tunnel, 10 meters underground, fell on them.

Both Israel and American officials have complained that Egypt is not trying to stop smuggling of weapons and occasionally discovers a tunnel or stops a terrorist gang in order to create a false image that is fighting terror and not aiding it.
