French police forcibly dragged away far-left demonstrators who were protesting the appearance of visiting President Shimon Peres at a museum in the city of Lyon Wednesday. The museum focuses on Nazi resistance groups that operated in Lyon during World War II. Peres also is scheduled to inaugurate a Lyon Jewish education center, the largest of its kind in Europe.

The demonstrators called Peres a "criminal," shouted for Israel to be eradicated and backed Gaza Arabs' "resistance." Police used force after the demonstrators sat on the ground and linked arms.
