Knessset Approves Shemittah Committee
(IsraelNN.com) The Knesset voted Tuesday to approve creation of a national committee chaired by a member of the Chief Rabbinate that will prepare state agencies for shemittah issues.
The Agriculture Minister will be tasked with appointing nine officials from various government ministries to serve on the committee.
