Microsoft to Invest Millions in Israel Innovations Lab

Microsoft Corporation plans to invest millions of dollars in a project that will focus on applied research in collaboration with computer science departments at Israeli universities, according to a report by Globes business news service.

The company will open its Israel Innovations Laboratory in Herzliya Pituah, as well as establish a new campus for its current research and development center in the same city.

The new laboratory will be the only one of its kind outside the United States, and will be run by Microsoft Israel Vice President of Research and Development, Yoram Yaacovi.
