The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the rocket attack on Ashkelon fired from Gaza Tuesday afternoon.

The Israeli government nevertheless held the ruling Hamas terrorist group responsible for the attack.

No one was injured and no damage was reported. The missile exploded in an open area just south of the coastal city.
