Members of Women in Green plan to travel on Monday to Nitzan, Yad Binyamin, and Ein Tzurim, three temporary communities consisting of Jews who were expelled from Gaza in 2005. Members of the group will buy supplies for the upcoming holiday of Purim in local stores as a sign of support.
“At a time when the entire people of Israel is rushing to help our brothers in Ashkelon and Sderot, which is a beautiful thing, ‘Women in Green’ wants to remind everyone that there are people here who many have already forgotten: our friends from Gush Katif and northern Samaria are in refugee camps for the third year now, many without an income. Many have also forgotten that the reason that Sderot, the Negev, and Ashkelon are attacked by the Arabs every day is that Israel folded in Gaza and destroyed Gush Katif,” the group explained.
