Iran’s spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ali Khomeini, called Sunday for Muslims worldwide to "rise up," and for Muslim leaders to "hit the occupying regime [Israel] in the face with the anger of the Islamic peoples." Khomeini slammed IDF troops in Gaza for being "inhuman" and "lacking mercy" while fighting the "helpless Palestinian people" in Gaza.
The grandson of revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini also harshly criticized the United States, which he blamed for supporting Israel. "The United States' hands are covered in the blood of the innocent Palestinian nation," he said.
