Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi has placed IDF troops in the north of the country on high alert during the funeral of Hizbullah terrorist Imad Mughniyeh.

Israeli ground, air and naval forces are expected to increase patrols along the northern border, and security officials have been instructed to keep watch for Hizbullah infiltrations into the country during and after the funeral, scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. local time (7 a.m. EST).
