MK Effie Eitam (National Union/NRP) nearly fell victim to terrorist rockets fired at the western Negev from Gaza Tuesday evening. One of the more than ten Kassam rockets that landed in the area slammed into the road just a few dozen meters from Eitam.

MK Eitam made his way to the home that was directly hit in the attack, commenting, "I felt in a direct way what it is like to live in Sderot on a daily basis, and to be targetted in body and property."

Eitam added that the fact that rockets are fired on sovreign Israeli territory is untenable and signifies the failure of the government to protect the state's security.
