Arab League Demands Israel Open Up Gaza Border

The Arab League has concluded an emergency meeting in Cairo and has demanded that Israel open up the Gaza crossings. Israel has closed them due to continued Kassam rocket attacks on the Negev.

The Arab ministers, including those from Jordan and Egypt, which have diplomatic relations with Israel, joined in blaming the "Zionist regime" for the lack of supplies and food in Gaza. They also praised Egypt for trying to help Gaza residents but did not comment on the Egyptian attempts to close off the crossing at Rafiah.
