Volunteer organizations in Jerusalem are preparing for the possibility of heavy snow in the city on Tuesday evening. The "Echud Hatzala" organization announced Sunday that it would provide transportation under special circumstances. The group plans to prepare special vehicles to bring brides and grooms to their weddings and sick and elderly patients to hospitals for inhalation treatments.
Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski ordered city workers to prepare to keep over 500 kilometers of road clear under any circumstances. All roads leading to hospitals or to the centers of neighborhoods are to be kept open even in case of heavy snowfall.
