The largest Muslim umbrella organization in the UK has abandoned its six-year boycott of International Holocaust Memorial Day and will participate Sunday in a ceremony in Liverpool.

The Muslim Council of Britain made the decision after accusations of anti-Semitism by the British government and Jewish groups, “because staying away was doing more harm than good and was being misconstrued,” said a spokesman for the organization last month.
